Sunlight on Scavaig

Photographed March 10th 2009
If you were to look through my shots from Elgol you'll probably find quite a few, mostly similar in subject content.
What you may discover though is why photographers never 'tick off' locations. Scotland and Skye in particular is never the same two days in a row, the light and weather is forever changing, that's why I keep returning to Elgol, that's why I'll forever return............

My name is Herman and I've got your contact through Dimitri's webpage.
I enjoyed browsing through your images and I have to say I like most of them. Landscapes and Seascapes are 2 of my favourite themes. That explains why I suppose.
I am planning to do a private workshop with Dimitri and I was wondering if I could ask you some questions. I'm a bit skeptical about workshops.
a) Is Dimitri a good mentor? Does he share most of his knowledge with you or does he hold back certain information?
b) Are the students usually thrown at the location spot to do their own things not having much time spent with Dimitri?
c) Is it money worth spent in his workshop?
I hope to hear from you.
Thanks!
Herman
